About the role
This position conducts regular teaching and academic duties within the Communication & Clinical Practice (CCP) domain for pre-clinical students at the University of Notre Dame Australia National School of Medicine, Fremantle Campus, to ensure that learning objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Teaching
- Mentoring of medical students at Fiona Stanley Hospital.
- Facilitating other learning opportunities for students with colleagues.
- Conducting tutorials, grand rounds and bedside teaching.
- On-campus lectures as required.
Other
- Assisting the hospital coordinator as required.
- Assisting with examinations which includes being an examiner for clinical examinations and writing and marking written assessments.
- Other duties as directed by the line manager, National Head of School or delegate.
Qualifications, skills & experience
- Possession of a PhD or a Medical qualification registrable with AHPRA and a Fellowship of a relevant professional body.
- Current employment as a clinician at FSH
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent organisational and management skills
